Hi Jerry
I read your question and I read all 28 answers.
If I were you, I would never choose a best answer among these answers.(But only the strong answer of( soniaatcalif...))
Your question is a good question but please remember this point:

A psychology research shows that some people, who have not a normal brain as a natural human being, would show some different activities that we call it stupidity.
This phenomena stupidity, cause from nodule, low self-confidence, less information about social behavior with people and so on.
They need to be changed internally not externally, I mean if you want to tell here or him that you are stupid!! He/she would be more frustrated and the stupidity would not be disappeared because he/she doesn’t know how to deal with it and what is stupidity?
If she/he knows that he is stupid then he would change himself.
But what you can do is to change him internally, you must encourage him and frankly show him the best way of life .Instead of saying someone stupid, is better to say, this is not good.
If you take him as a sick and try to help him, would be much better to prove it to him his stupidity.
Because proving someone’s stupidity itself is a stupid action. Don’t you think so?

Your question and apparent aggressive desire to convince another person that they are unintelligent and without much worth, may be more a reflection of your own mental prowess than the other persons. If by stupid you don't mean their inherent intelligence, but something they are doing that lacks good judgment, then you can exercise your own good judgment, smartness, etc, and find a way to work with them in a productive way that leaves them with some feeling of dignity when your done.

Make them take an IQ test.

Honestly I can't think of any way to prove that someone is stupid without looking like a jerk. You can sure make someone LOOK stupid but that doesn't mean you can prove to them that they ARE stupid.

Maybe it's better to be alright than right. Proving someone's stupidity is a stupid act in itself because if successful, you would be hurting that person. Hurting others is stupid.

I don't know, I guess you can let them ask a stupid question, and guess who won the prize, you, but really don't disrespect someone in the fashion I did, just let them think there smart, and maybe they would actually become smart +P =p :)>

Take a folding card. (Invitation or greeting card size)

Print on one side of the card the following:

"How to keep stupid people amused - see other side"

On the opposite side of the card print:

"How to keep stupid people amused - see other side"

If he / she turns the card over more than once, you have your answer.

Are you sure that he/she is really stupid? If that guy is unluckily stupid, spare him/her. Anyway they won't know or admit they are stupid just because they are stupid. Don't bother about with them.
