I don't want to hear god is the alpha and omega. What I want to be answered is this: If god created all that is, what created god, or does god know? If god had a belly button what would that emply? This is of course philosophy, hence a concrete awnswer is not expected.

I ask this because you can not solve existence like a math problem through the use of faith.

Haven't seen him around lately, doesn't write or call. Doesn't fly over every couple of weeks or doesn't have a plaque at the north pole. But seriously, I believe the god concept came from halucinogenic drug usage in the first primitave tribes. ie- shamans/ witchdoctors. They were the ones promoting it. Also from the fear of death. It's gives people a sense of security. The later promotion that god will harm you if you don"t beleive in him was a way to control the other people of the tribe. the two most powerful people of the tribe were the chief and the shaman, and is still the same today whether it be a tribe or a nation.

Great questions, but your second and final statements show that you will never get it, because what you don't want to hear is, in fact, the answer: "I don't want to hear god is the alpha and omega." And this, "I ask this because you can not solve existence like a math problem through the use of faith." You cannot "solve" existence, esp God's, and when you talk about God, understanding Him is, by the nature of the subject, all about faith.

I think Gods, one and all were created by man, out of ignorance and fear. Most religions are now just honoring one god, but the myth is perpetuated from generation to generation for the same reasons. George Carlin, that most outspoken of entertainers, said it exactly right. "I would rather act as if there is a god, than take a chance, and act as if there isn't." Fear is a powerful persuader. No one alive can answer your question, with out playing the Faith Card, because there is no answer, and no need for one. You either believe the myth or you don't.

Many scientists believe that the universe will reach a point in which it will stop expanding, and it will begin to compress again into a small microscopic ball of condensed energy (the so-called "Big Crunch"). After that, they believe another Big Bang will take place and the whole universe will start expanding again, planets will form again, etc. and so on.

I believe this theory is very possible. Maybe the universe was never created. Maybe the universe simply was here all along, expanding and compressing over and over in a neverending cycle. Maybe the earth is destined to appear and dissapear continuously through all eternity.
That's what makes life so fascinating; We are able to understand some of its "how"s, but we will never fully understand the "why?".

The Bible states that before God there was no one else. So no one created him, that's kind of hard for us humans to understand since we have a beginning and end, but when you look at how powerful and awesome he is, who could possibly create him?

Even if "something" created God...the question would still stand...who created the "something" that created God? There had to be a God, who has always existed.

nothing created God. He just is, always was, and always will be. He is infinite, and being the self-important little creatures that we are, we find it very difficult to imagine that we are not as significant in the grand scheme of things as we would like to imagine.
