Depends on how much salt. Without salt, there is probably some seeds somewhere in the soil that will sprout, but too much salt will render the soil infertile and nothing will happen.

nothing will happen, but excessive salt will prevent any plants from growing in it. most soil contains plant seeds and they will spontaneosly sprout if given water and light.
this is not a good idea for a science project.

if u put pure soil then i think nothing will happen.
water will be evaporated and u will be remained with salt and soil.
