Does anyone think Al Gore is genuine? He seems like such a fake, saying what he thinks people want to hear.
Would he make a good president?

Al is so misinformed! While the possibility of warming exists, the most recent evidence points toward global cooling, but those facts are being stifled by the Global Warming Machine! Check out the facts people!

I think Al Gore jumps on the warming evidence and assumes the cause. They just discovered that Antarctica was once tropic. This planet has gone through ice ages and warming trends over and over. So far I have seen no proof whatsoever that the current warming trend is anything more sinister than what has happened so many times. I have looked to find it, expecting to find it, and couldn't find a link. If someone has one (not a person saying 'it is caused by industrialization' but actual proof of that) I would love to see it.
Having said that, I think Gore legitimately believes global warming is something that can and should be stopped. To that extent I believe he is genuine.
Would he make a good President? - No.

Al Gore said "....and I used to be the next president of the United States." Got some humor there. There are a lot of people who have been successful, politics, business, the arts, whatever, who enjoy doing things and being busy and effective at things. What's the man supposed to do, go sit on a porch somewhere?
Saying what people want to hear? Since when do people want to hear about the terrible effects of global warming? That's his unstated motive - that people don't pay attention and don't want to hear it, but they have to know what is coming. So he gets the message out.
Unlike some people who shove the facts under an increasingly soggy rug. Global warming is the greatest threat to the security of the United States than anything we have faced so far, including terrorism. It is irresponsible to do anything but take the strongest action possible against it.

Al Gore no longer wants to be president. He is the poster child to stop global warming. Yes he is genuine. I went to his movie tonight An Inconvenient Truth. The way he compared tobacco to global warming was very moving.

Only an insecure idiot would ask such a question. He never got a chance when his election got stolen right out from under him What I do not understand is why people think the Bushes are so perfect?

He is absolutely genuine. There are few people who are as honest and decent and intelligent as he is, and he would have made a great president. If he only said what people wanted to hear then he wouldn't have made a movie called "An Inconvenient Truth".

He would have made an awful president. He is not genuine and half of the stuff he says makes no sense at all.

If you have an open mind you will see that he is genuine. He has said several times that he is not going to run for any type of office, so there is no political agenda.
