What does it mean when another person has high standards for you but then their actions are the reverse of what they expect from you??

It means they are setting themselves up for dissappointment, because, by setting expectations up, they are playing the director in the play of life, and trying to control others. Then they get their nose out of joint when you try to live how you feel you should. The results are often quite apart from their desires....
