It was a Super Bowl commercial from a few years ago that featured cowboys herding cats! The cowboys were sitting around a campfire rolling balls of yarn, carrying cats on their saddles, bandaging scratch wounds, and herding cats across a river. I have no idea what the product or service was that they were advertising but the commercial was hilarious and it still makes me laugh to think about it.

Long, long time ago-- a tv ad for Starburst brand fruit chews. It showed a man sitting quietly in an easy chair in his living room. While he opened a pack of Starburst brand fruit chews, the announcer's voice (yeah, that's how old this is) said "Starburst blasts you off, with an explosive burst of flavor!"

The whole room began to shake, just like a shuttle launch in Florida. He slowly began to rise from his chair, still in a sitting position-- WITH A ROCKET EXHAUST COMING FROM THE MOST INAPPROPRIATE PLACE-- until he flew out of sight.

I literally fell off my chair laughing. Two or three days later, the company must have realized how bad it looked, because they replaced it with a (hastily modified) version-- the guy just flew away with no rocket exhaust, and there was a shower of colorful balloons afterward. How lame. Obviously, some advertising executive lost his job over this one. It's a classic. I only wish I had a copy somewhere.
