I use a program that came with my computer and it works great but as far as a free program I don't know.....sorry.

Its funny how some people have answered this question with 8-10 years and $250k fine...shut up, a lot of people do it! I copy what I want when I want in the privacy of my own home and for my own personal use. I refuse to pay twice for cd's and dvd's just because I let my friends borrow them and they return them scratched. I have my personal copies and then those that I let people borrow.... nothing wrong with watching my pennies.

why Mr Police Officer, that sounds fairly unlawful. do not you ever study the FBI caution on the starting up of those dvds? should feel embarrassment about your self, breaking global guidelines set through the Geneva courts in 1979.
