There are a lot of things you have to consider before you should get a frog. They include:
- Frogs have relatively long life spans. Average life spans are typically 4-15 years, although some have been known to live longer.
- Keeping the enclosures of the frog's home clean can be a major hassle. Many frogs have fairly simple light, temperature, and humidity requirements, but they are very sensitive to contaminants and waste in their environment.
- Frogs don't really move around too much and can be boring. If you are looking for an exciting pet, get a dog.
- It can be difficult to find someone to take care of your frogs if you travel a lot.
In addition, consider this, if you do plan on getting a frog, especially for the first time, don't pick the rare exotic ones as they are usually harder to take care of. Take the size of the frog, the tank required, and food sources into consideration.
Good beginning frogs are:
* African Dwarf Frogs (small, active, aquatic)
* Oriental Fire Bellied Toads (active, terrestrial)
* White's Tree Frog (docile and hardy)
Hope this helps.

I think they are great pets to have for someone other than me! I had a couple of African Dwarf Frogs. I ordered them in the mail. They were the cutest things; Diego and Manny. Ate ALOT and grew and grew. For whatever reason, they both died, snuggled together, after 1 month. I was so sad. These were very easy to care for, so I don't know what I did wrong. I'll never try a frog again, cause I'm a wimp and don't want to risk another loss, but I do highly recommend them.

If you treat them right, then yes, they are. They (most frogs) need to live in a aquarium/ terreium with lots of water in a shallow dish and need to be fed about 2-3 times a week.

Yea, they're good pets. They are attractive to look at and easy to care for, by not cuddle-able or pettable much.
