you can't lose weight on 1000 cal a day it will only lower your metabolism what you want to do is get up to 2000 or 2 500 and if you are walking daily for 3 miles you will be able to lose aprox 1 to 2 pds a month
another idea which personally i prefer is that you go on up to 3600 now what you eat it is crucial but even more is how much you eat at a time try to eat tiny little mini meals6 to 8 times a day may be you can start with a 1/2 a peanut butter sandwich on wheat bread or rye cut it into 3 pieces and take 1 1/2 hours between each for lunch try a bowl of veges and soup (not creamy) and split into 2 meals for dinner try a vege sub and eat it in 4 meals if you get up in the night hungry have a little dish of ice daquri sherbert
here are good ideas for meals:
tuna no mayo on wheat or rye
spinach and yougurt plain
red meat small steak
turkey burger
tacos '
vege pizza
corn flakes with fruit
lean cuisine budjet gormet
baked potato smalkl and yougurt
BEETS (very good when you diet they pump up iron levels )
carrot juice and v-8
spagetti no meat
chili
kidney beans
nonfat everything
AVOID SUGARS AND CREAMS
avoid apple juice and orange and grape juice
egg plant for spaghetti
egg whites and little or no yolk or egg sub with asperagus and spinach and ricotta cheese
I gained 100 pounds when i was pregnant it took about a year or more but i lost it I now weigh about 115 AND i am 5'3" I get more compliments than ever
exercise doing somthing you like but for dramatic results LIFT WEIGHTS
I don't mean bench pressing huge weights but a med weight with LOTS of reps 3sets of 10
you will replenish your metabolism
if you try to lose to fast you will gain make sure not to miss a meal
good luck

Jessy, you need to do more exercise, yes I know that is a bad word, but just think of how you will fill when you lose those pounds. If you are eating a 1000 cal a day and you are getting nowhere then you have to pick up the pace and burn more than you take in. That is the only true way to do it without hurting yourself in the long run. take it form some one that knows what she is talking about. I was nearly 300lbs at one time. I could not lose it and went to the extra step of having gastric-by-pass. I had to exercise to help loose over 120lbs in a year. I now have to keep up with my program or gain back some of what I lost. Walking is a great way to start. The next thing you know the weight is gone.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

You need to start drinking plenty of water. If you are starving yourself or skipping a meal here and there, STOP. Your body will go to automatic starve mode. What that does is everything you eat it keeps in and does not process anything the right way because it doesn't know when you are next going to feed it. Keep your stress as minimum as possible, that can make you gain weight. Try to intake a lot of low fat dairy products, and of course don't forget to exercise. Hope that helps.

try dieting and exercising at the same time. My tried and tested exercise routine is Tae-bo...really even after the exercise you feel great already.I f you want even less strenous than that try pilates with a lot of stretching exercises...you'll end up with great toned muscles. Remember if there's a will...there's a way...if you don't want to do it...you always have an excuse.goodluck.And yeah try eating less at night time...i usually get just a sandwich.
