sorry to hear that your life is so mundane...you should do something about that.... maybe start looking for coincidences

Coincidence – accident (twist of fate/ chance) or concurrence (relationship/ link). You are mostly saying that coincidences mean nothing, that everything happens for a reason, which I believe. So why can’t we say that coincidences happen for a reason, therefore have significance, and therefore exist for a purpose.

Nothing is an accident. Everything has a potential lesson in it. Sadly, only the wise may see this truth consistently. (Nope; I am not that wise yet.)

Sometimes I can get all caught up in them, but I am a reader so I love to find symbolism and metaphors in books--why not in real life?

I am also a personality type known for making "connections" to things. So on some level I want to call them "signs," but I've played 6 degrees to Kevin Bacon. Heck I am six degrees to Kevin Bacon and he could care less. The world is a big web and full of connections--if you try hard you can find them.

Does that mean they mean coincidences mean anything? synchronicity perhaps?

Who knows? but it's fun to collect them--better than collecting stamps. Plus real life metaphors can be really powerful tools in getting a message across telling a story. So if they help me do that, well I guess that is significant.

But EVERYTHING happening for a reason? I am skeptical. Do Hurricanes serve a purpose? Do car accidents and overdoses and suicides? Is there a higher purpose in that? One thing I am certain of about God, is that on this Earth I will never understand it all--fate, signs, will. Some things weren't meant to figure out. Trust what your heart tells you, Divine Spark, spirit, or whatever you listen to inside. If coincidence seems important than maybe it is, but sometimes it's just a coincidence.

I don't think too many things are coincidental. I believe that everything serves a purpose.

There are some things that I call a coincidence, for example, thinking about someone and they come back into your life. Now that's just pretty cool when that happens. :0)

one shouldn't be surprised that coincidences happen. you can find them everywhere, if you look hard enough. check the serial number on a couple of dollar bills. bet you'll see the birthday of someone you know. so if there's a meaning it's really in your mind. Why did you think of that person? Why did you notice this pattern and not another one? maybe the world isn't trying to tell you something, but your mind is.

There are no coincidences in my life...everything that comes into my life is put there by my Higher Power in order for me to learn some form of lesson that will improve the way I live.

There is no such thing as coincidence. Everything happens for a reason. I believe this with all my heart.

I think coincidences happen for a reason, and when they happen to me, I take notice and have to wonder what they mean. (I rarely find out, but it's fun to wonder)

I think there are no coincidences, there is only a reason for them.

Not too much significance. It's human nature to try to look for connections in our otherwise mundane lives, and if you look hard enough, you'll find it.
