The easiest way to create a "Zombie Warrior" would be through a lobotomy, which deadens the emotional centers in the frontal lobe of the brain. If you release a strain of bacteria or a virus that eats away at that and only that brain tissue, you would have a reasoning but completely loyal and unquestioning zombie. Well that is if you can ever get past the bouts of screaming and unreasoning lobotomy patients tended to posses during the initial research at the turn of the LAST century.

I don't know what a "bow" is however there are numerous "asymmetrical" warfare scenarios were a virus or bacterial agent is released that makes those exposed insane and contagious. There are bacteria that target specific organs in the body and it is possible that someone could create a bacteria or virus to affect the mind and cause violent behavior, and also have this condition be contagious, however it is very unlikely.

I don't know personally, but find books by Wade Davis. He's an anthropologist who got his Ph.D. from Harvard by finding zombies in Haiti, and offering a theory of how they're produced. (Organic drugs plus immense social control.)
