NEED HELP! any one who knows there way around a computer?

I need to know how to change music format i have i tunes and i load all my music mostly form cds to the i tunes library so that makes them all mpeg files i need to change them to mp3 files. how do i go about doing that?

Rip them. Most programs capable of playing music have the feature that allows you to rip them. That actually removes the files from the CD and saves them onto your computer, instead of simply reading them on the CD.

This is not really a computer issue, it is an iTunes issue. That is, it relates to a software program. iTunes turns your files into AAC, also know as mpeg2 part 7 or mpeg4 part 3 [modified]. I think you should stop loading stuff into iTunes if you don't want the hassle of finding some converter. In any case, since your music is mostly from cds they are still there to be put on your computer in mp3 format and you can use Windows Media Player to do that. And always keep a copy of whatever you put into iTunes.

Go to download.com and search for mp3 file format, it should give you a bunch of programs that can help you change the file formats. Some free some not, but definetly ull find one

Dont just d-laod any program (most are not freeware & have limitations on them). Go to cnet & do a search for a program called switch... it is freeware & will convert all sound files into many different formats.
