Unfortunately because we are a society of labels. People are lazy and need to fit in. Gotta have labels otherwise we'd all think for ourselves.

I have never heard of Warrior Metal and Love Metal sounds vaguely familiar, but they both sound made up. You could basically put any word in front of metal and it will sound real. Crunk Metal? Techno Metal? Alternative Metal? Light Metal? Soft Metal? Warrior Metal? Love Metal? Yeah a lot of them do sound stupid.
Screamo and Emo are a different story. Screamo and emo are not stupid names, you just have no idea what they are. No one in this thread does. I'm not going to go into too much detail, but emo does not mean emotional. Emo is not Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Hawthorne Heights, Dashboard Confessional, etc. They are pop bands nothing more. You don't listen to emo, and I'm willing to bet that you never have. Emo is style of hardcore music that is short for emotive hardcore. It originated in D.C. and it is widely regarded that the bands Rites of Spring, Embrace, One Last Wish, and few others started it in the mid 80's, with Rites of Spring being one of the best and most well known. Emo bands aren't on major record labels either. Emo is anti-corporate. It's what defined the bands, and it's what still defines those bands today. You will never find an emo band on Vagrant, Geffen, Drive-Thru, etc. Those bands aren't emo, and never will be. Screamo is just a branch of emo and consists of bands such as Antioch Arrow, Heroin, and Mohinder. The two are very similar.
If you want real emo check out:
Yaphet Kotto
Policy Of Three
Portraits Of Past
Heroin
Antioch Arrow
Glass And Ashes
Planes Mistaken For Stars
Ordination Of Aaron
Current
Saetia
Hot Cross
Circle Takes The Square
A Day In Black And White
Four Hundred Years
Sinaloa
They And The Children
How To Beat A Dead Horse
Ampere
Appleseed Cast
Rites of Spring
etc.
If you actually take the time to listen to these bands, you will see that it si the vocals and music that makes a band emo, not lyrics. And band such as Fall Out Boy, Dashboard Confessional, and Hawthorne Heights, do not have those musical and vocal characteristics.

Some of them make sense, most don't. Take for example Emo, and Screamo, Emo is all about expressing emotion, usually depression. Screamo is doing the same thing but with more screaming anger than depressing singing. i have no clue why we call metal, metal, but i understand a lot of the variations of metal. like soft metal is metal that's just above rock, and below heavy, often has acoustic guitar somewhere in it. Heavy metal is a lot of distortion and usually no acoustic. Death Metal is like Screamo but with metal and not really about depression, but anger and aggression. I assume Warrior Metal is about fighting, and death. Love Metal must be about love, i suppose. Of course these are just theories of mine, so don't take them to heart.

why? its simple... people crave to be different. all those things are under the Rock genre, but because people dont want to be lumped in with every rock band they make up retarded sub genres to make them seem unique.... basically over classification of what really is just crappy music in general... too much focus on what kind of music they are and not enough on the music itself
