That's very good for a young man. It is probably more than most college grads make for the first few years after graduation. Probably more than most Police and Firemen make. What you will come to realize is, that in a commercial society like ours, your "worth" is like any other commodity ... it's a matter of supply and demand. With the housing boom, demand has been high, but as the housing market begins to decline, so will the demand for your services, if you add a recession on top of that, people will be conserving their money and not paying someone to make improvements. So I would suggest that you save as much as you can for a "rainy day". Best wishes.

when I graduate, I expect to earn more than that an hour (if you average the total by the number of hours I will be working...) But it really depends on the type of field you get into. Finance and economics are pretty highly paid.

Plenty make more than you. A nurse anesthetist for example make about $125.00 an hr
