People think AFI is new when they've been around since 1991 i've loved them forever but now people say you only love them now because they just got even more famous with decemberunderground so what if i like them even more now??? What do you think???

I hate that...It's like Green Day, whom I've loved through thick and thin since 1994 when I was 13, and now they're overblown and all the little teenboppers are wearing green day shirts...or Blink 182, who I liked before they were signed to a major in 1998, and no one knew who they were, and then a year later, they're all bopping around to 'all the small things'...I hate trendy people who jump on the bandwagon (sorry for the pun) when a band gets big, and then jump back off when the band isn't "cool" anymore...just stand by your band, like the true fan that you are and know that the fairweather fans will eventually find someone new! : )

That tends to happen with a lot of bands. Don't feel the need to defend when you started liking them. The point is that they're a great band and you have good taste!
