For the most part I think we are! But we have great differences between language even if its Spanish compared to many other countries whose main language is Spanish too.

Spanish people are a mix now of old and new culture. my father and his family were all very conservative and traditional values a must.

My niece just went to Spain for a year and she loved it! She is American with abit of Spanish too.

I think people in general are either nice or not no matter what country.

The friends I have who also are Spanish are very upbeat, funny, cheerful and very outgoiong.

However, some can be rude to Americans because they oppose the war in Iraq and because many times the black sheep from USA really lash out at others and their countries and stand out at times as very selfish (some, pls dont take me wrong there are many Americans who are better than anybody else I've met). HOwever those who go to Spain or bash Spain and all that is outside th e USA tend to leave a lasting impression in European and South American countries that is not precisely beneficial. So if bad impressions are left from racism, selfishness and playing dumb you may encounter Spaniards who dislike these type of behavior.

For the most part Spain is a great country with its ups and downs. And Spanish people can be much fun to be with. You wont go hungry if you hang around with them, and food is great. They can be also very welcoming and give you an insight that most other people as tourists do not often get.

The question though, is like if I asked are Americans nice? I am married to one. He is nice. And Ihave seen others who plain cant count as nice.

I think all cultures have their good and nice people and then others who are a disaster or awful or nasty.

They are people just like the rest of us! I'm sure that there are very nice people and some that are not so nice, just like anywhere else. All people have the capacity to be good or bad, no matter what their nationality! Most are good with a few bad ones thrown in, and that makes us suspicious of everyone. Give everyone a chance before you pre-judge them or you will miss out on a lot of good friends in life.

Spanish "people" are pretty much only in Spain. They are pretty friendly to people from other countries.

Latin Americans it depends on the country. Cubans and Veneuzelans will be friendly while other are very antagonistic if your from US. There are too many countries and people to categorize them all.

I had neighbors who were from Spain and they were lovely people. They had 3 daughters and one son. The oldest girl went to the Senior prom with my oldest son and she went back to Spain to attend school. He told me she came back to America to live and is married to someone is the east. I guess her impressions of our country were favorable......

Sure they are. I went to Peru and I was treated like a queen. of course, I ran into people that weren't so good. Everywhere you go, you are going to run into both good and bad people. It doesn't matter what race, religion, or gender one is, they can be good or bad. :0) Nice or mean. You see it everywhere you go.

I think the spanish culture is just like any other...there are really nice people and then there are the jerks...it's all based on values, morals and how people are raised.

that a really broaded question... spanish people are not like robots that have been tuned in with one personailtly they have their own personailtly and are therefore different from each other, so one spanish person may be unplesent to be around but another may be a delight to be around, like you would know people that you enjoy to know and others you wish you didn't know
