I have thick black hair that grows in the arches of my feet. It pulls when I walk and it hurts constantly. If I shave or use Nair, it goes away for a while, but comes back and hurts again. What is a good permanent way to get rid of it?

thts not the most common of conditions, and i can really feel your pain, it must be really annoying, stop shaving it, it just makes it will just grow back even stronger, the best thing is to see a dr about getting it removed by laser, if its too expensive for you, or you just dont have the time right now, try waxing it, it will go away for much longer than waxing or using nair, and it makes the hair weaker, dont worry about the pain, when u see that the hair is going away it wont feel so bad, and its not really that painful. actually it might tickle you on the soles of your feet.also try wearing nylon stockings more often cause it will rub against the hair and years later (i know it takes a very long time) it will reduce the amount that grows

No, I remember in high school someone saying they knew someone who did.

Hobbits in J.R. Tolkien's books all have hair on their feet, lots of it on top and bottom, so that they can walk around without needing shoes to protect their feet.

Laser surgery or electrolysis should remove it. You might be able to pluck them but it is probably better to get a doctor's advice. You would not want to wind up with an ingrown hair on the bottom of your foot or something like that.

It sounds like something that is treatable and there is probably more than one way to go about it.

You might try browsing around the Yahoo Health site, as well as some medical/health advice sites around the web. They might have information on the subject as well.

I have the same thing! I just bought myself a cat, and she eats all the hair. I love the hairballs she spits out by the way.

Hair on feet, and a third nipple? You're a troll.
