I need my dental X-rays. How can I get photo copies of my record and X-rays from my dentist? I don't have any other dentist that I can get a release form from the new dentist. Is it enough if I write to my dentist that I need my dental record? Thanks.

Assuming you paid your bills, you own those records and should be able to get a copy of them. Most offices will charge you a fee but you still need to keep track of your health.

They will probably charge you for the records. Some medical offices won't release the records to an individual - even it they are your own records. I don't understand why, though.
