Sex as someone mentioned earlier should be a secondary aspect of the relationship. Many relationships that are formed purely on the physical tend to be temporary and fleeting. In a relationship probably the two critical things are honesty and compromise. If you and your significant other trust each other, the love will follow. Moreover, understand that both of you will probably not agree on everything and this is where compromise would come to the forefront. If you have these two things worked out, I am certain that you can make just about every relationship possible. :)

The most important things are trust, communication, and love. Sex is a secondary thing that is nice, but it shouldn't be the most important thing in a relationship. You have to think about what happens if your partner is sick or ill and can't have sex or when you get old and gray and might not be in the mood - whats going to matter is the core of your relationship - and how much you love eachother.

Sex is the most important thing in my current relationship, if you want to call it one, but that's because I couldn't get any from my ex-boyfriend. What a freak. I think in most relationships the most important thing is communication and after that, positive feelings for each other.

The most important thing in a relationship is are you glad to be with that other person out of bed, is the whole day like making love even without sex,, that to me is what makes the sex act wonderful when it does happen.
And, when we are older, will the caring loving things during the day be enough if we can no longer have sex? YOU BET!

Sex is very very very very very important, to the point that without it I would not stay in a relationship. Even if everything else was great. Unless I found a way to get it with someone else and keep the relationship too. I REALLY REALLY REALLY need sex.

For me a relationship would be knowing that, the man that i'm with is my best friend and someone i can always count on in good times and bad times, and when you love that person, making love is a very important part of that relationship.

Sex is important, but not nearly as important as TRUST and LAUGHTER. I can't imagine the relationship I'm in now without either of those two things.

Not important at all...the most important thing is that we are soul mates and share equally halves of the same entity...anyway that's the way i look at it!
