While not by the book, it does qualify as safe sex. Would you rather
see your son having safe sex with a stuffed animal or dangerous sex with the $20.00 hooker on the wrong corner of town ? At the very least trade in the stuffed animal for a blow-up doll.
Seriously though I doubt whether you could get a competent psychiatrist to commit him, he's not harming himself although the stuffed animal is whole nother story.
Are you looking for a reason to commit him ?

You didn't say how old your son is. It is natural for young boys to experiment with their sexuality. Using a stuffed animal is....interesting, but maybe he's just either afraid to try with a partner or he is just looking for an outlet without getting involved. If it becomes a habit or he starts using real animals or anything else unusual like that, you might want to see about taking him to a counselor.
Otherwise, yeah, it's pretty normal.

No, but you do need to sit down with him and have a very serious talk with him about sex. Who knows next time it might be on a person and we all know what can happen there, you become a grandma or worse a son with STD's
Maybe offer him a cherry pie....LOL

NO, if he's very young or mentally disabled he will probably try certain types of masturbation--he just got creative. I worked with a boy who has down's syndrome and he had done that before and he still is with his family. If you're not sure what you should do about it, talk to his doctor. I'm sure he can give you and answer that you both can live with.

it's just a sexual fetish... they call themselves "plushies" which are different from "furries" in that they dont like to wear the animal suits they just like to masturbate with the stuffed animal.. to mix it up a bit... it is not a mental issue... it is just something he uses to masterbate with... masturbation is competely normal EVERYONE past puberty has pleasured themself in some way or another... it is realy no different than using a vibrator or an inflatable love doll...now if he were doing it to live animals then i think it would be a problem...but stuffed animals... naw it is a harmless fetish
