Back in high school I sucked at calculus. I was failing miserably. There was a soft spoken, quiet Vietnamese guy in my class, who could barely speak English, but he was a genius in math. I never really noticed him, until one day he came up to me and presented me with a handmade booklet of all the formulas I needed to know. I could see that he had put a lot of effort into making it. I still have it, framed in my album, like a piece of art. It is by far the best gift I have ever received. I was a student at the time with hardly any spending money, but at Christmas time I bought him a scarf and a coffee mug. The next time I saw him, he was wearing the scarf. It was a great compliment. Every time I think of him now, I wish him wonderful thoughts wherever he may be.
He made me feel like a million bucks without saying a word.

That I am a great friend because I listen patiently while she is able to get whatever is bothering her off her chest. That I do not judge nor offer advice. That I'm always there. I'm proud of the fact that I have received these many times over.

A guy wrote me the most wonderful letter ever and said i have marvelous eyes. It was the best compliment i'll ever have because it was the first.

a girl came up to me in in admiration and said i look like a latin queen it was the best compliment i ever had

This one girl at work said "Wow, you don't stink today!"
People usually pick on me for smelling like rags, so her compliment made me feel good.

My fiance' has said this to me and it makes me melt every time because I know he means it. ( he proposed to me when I had no makeup on and my hair was messy and it was great) He said: You don't need makeup or to lose weight to look beautiful for me to love you. You are beautiful and I love you just the way you are.
