We had the same problem. First, how are you managing your PCOS? Are you overweight? Are you ovulating? It took us 6 years to conceive. I was not ovulating and I was overweight. I read about a drug called Metformin and asked my DR. She did the tests and I was insulin resistant so I started taking 500mg 3x a day. I also started exercising. Right away started having a period every month and I lost 40lbs. It still took us a year since starting the metformin to get pregnant but we did! One small piece of advice- don't have sex too often because of your guys problem and make sure he doesn't, you know, take things into his own hands, wink wink-that was one of the things working against us! I also had a friend who was not insulin resistant and got pregnant on clomid. Oh, and both of us had a second baby without even trying! Good Luck, I hope I helped a little!!

Depending on your age, you may want to go for IVF. Once you're over 36, IUI doesn't do much for you. IVF worked for us, but our fertility issue was different. I also think your PCOS needs to be in good control for you to produce quality eggs (and have normal cycles). Good luck!

I am on a yahoo board called pcos_pregnancy. They are very informative and warm and friendly. I have pcos too, and learned about a bunch of things that I didn't know existed. Plus, the support is great. You might want to consider joining? There are a couple girls on there in your shoes.

I hate to say it, but IVF is likely the only thing that will work. You'll also need it with ICSI (where they inject the sperm directly into the egg) due to your husband's low sperm count.

I have PCOD and IVF worked twice for me: I have a 2-yr-old daughter and 2-mo-old b/g twins!

Get your IVF-invitro fertilisation treatment in India .IVF treatment ,IUI,ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges all types of medical treatment andsurgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as some of the surgery including ivf treatment is not covered by insurance.

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your IVF treatment can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The doctors are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.I recently also read about a chinese couple facilitated by forerunners healthcare were able to get their baby by IVF and a surrogate mother.

my cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the forerunners healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full treatment for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.I strongly recommend this company to you as they can be of great help to you.hope this helps
