Most of you I think misinterpretd the question(or maybe it was me), but I understood this:
"is that function odd or even (referring to symmetry)?"
Well if that is the question, do this:
F(x) is even (symmetyric with respect to the y-axis) if F(-x)=F(x)
F(x) is odd (symmetric with respect to the origin) if F(-x)= -F(x)
The function does have symmetry if it doesn't fill the above situations.

In this case by simple substitution the function is not symmetric at all.

NOTE: There is a third type of symmetry for relations (not functions!) which is with respect to the x-axis.

x^2 + x -12 Now locate 2 numbers such that their product is -12 and their sum is +one million How do you are attempting this? answer is - locate the best components of 12 utilising the LCM calculation technique So 12 = 2 * 2 * 3 From right here you have the opportunities as 2 and a pair of*3 i.e. 2 and six 2*2 and 3 i.e. 4 and 3 the version of two & 6 is two so it is ruled out the version of four & 3 is one million so this might artwork for us Having gotten that observe that product is damaging (-12) however the version is constructive ( +one million) So one in all 4 and 3 could be damaging and the different constructive 4 gets to be constructive and 3 as damaging because of the fact the version might then be +one million So we get +4 and -3 we are in a position to rewrite the quadratic function as x^2 +4x - 3x - 12 = x(x+4) -3(x+4) = (x-3)(x+4) those are your components and thats your answer. its all particularly trouble-free . i'm specific that once you re examine the financial disaster in the e book from the beginning up you would be grasp at it your self after a splash bit prepare. solid success.

It is not an odd function (it is not an even function either).

Let f(x) = (x^2 + x + 1)^1.2

Since f(x) > 0 for all x, it can't be an odd function.

only integers can be defined as odd or even. Likewise, only polynomials with integer powers can be defined as odd or even. Thus that function is not odd since it does not have integer powers.
