People do this all the time playing role playing games.
They fantasize that they are dwarfs, hobbits, and gnomes.
Although many people will deny that they engage in such fantasies - particularly given the grubby, unshaven, unwashed appearance of hardcore D&D and Tragic, the splattering, games - the popularity of movies such as the Lord of the Rings and that Narnia Chronicles show that this is actually a common occurance.
Granted, some people will say that actually more people fantasize about elves, but I'd argue that they are actually just fantasizing about Cate Blanchett as Galadriel or Liv Tyler as Arwen (Ok, just for the record, she did look a LOT like the woman that stole my heart in high school), or - if you're into guys... well, there were guys elves for ya.
People are just imaginative, so why not?

i think its normal as long as you don't take it seriously.....its fun to have an imagination and fantasies usually put me to sleep rather than thinking about other things =P
