What do you think are the best brand of guitar strings?

I use Fender Bullets and Slinkys, but I am open to trying something new.

I use Martin MSP4050 SP's on my acoustics, DR Strings PHR10's on my SRV strat, and either Elixir Polyweb Electric Super Light's or Black Diamond Nickel Light's on my '73 Tele. The Black Diamonds have a nice bright sound and I can get 2 sets for the price of one set of the Elixirs. The Elixir tend to last longer, though. The DR's have the best "bluesy" sound - nice sustain and "punch" with great low tones.

Guy at the music store says there are only three String Manufacturers ... then they put everyone elses name on them.

You might try DiVinci Strings ... to me, they sound really clear.

If you have an accoustic, I highly suggest you check out a pak of Earth Woods. I honestly wont use anything else on my accoustics.

i have used ghs for almost 30 years, i use the boomers, usually the gbxl. i think the slinkys are good also. on acoustic i have always used dean markley, out of habit mostly.

Elixer is good, but very expensive, usually $13 a pack.
Martin is good, that's what I usually use, that can be $6-7 a pack.

I always go with DR they are always quality, lotta people like Elixer though... i think they are wrong and too ignorant to even give DR a chance but thats their deal not mine

D'Addarios---thats what my fiance uses for electric and acoustic. He rocks by the way!!!
