Go to www.impeachbush.com.
and read this quote I found.
Bush blew through Clinton's reservoir of excess funds faster than Clinton was able to make the surplus happen.
This war should be with the people who flew into our country and caused the 9/11 tragedy.
Iraq pissed off the oil money people that are friends and cronies of George and his daddy. They used to have parties together. Now they are annoyed and using our soldiers to settle their spat. Thankfully, there is the benefit of freedom for the Iraqi people. That makes this not a mistake, this makes their presence there worth while.
I just want to understand why we are not concentrating on the terrorists that started this. I have many loved ones serving over there, including my youngest child's father. I believe in what they are doing. I thank them for their zeal. I love my country, I cannot fight for it, I thank our veterans for doing what I cannot.
I do want to impeach Bush. He is a liar. He is a thief, and he is too confused and mentally lost to run our country. He "won" both elections with controversy. Why not a re-vote instead of a re-count? If he had won clean, I would say nothing, but two elections with controversy makes me wonder about the truth of the politics in Washington.
I want Clinton back. Hillary too. I want to have a paycheck and get my overtime. I want to take better care of our people here in America before we send money to other countries. I want to have the values of the government to come back closer to the constitution that our country is based on. Please give us a hero for a president. Not a c average screw off who obviously does not understand that you have to have a BUDGET! Some one in charge who understands that America wants to eat too. I was making 24000 a year when Clinton left office, I make 8000 a year now since Bush has been in. I have lost my house, my car, and filed bankruptcy. I never left my job. The American Dream will die if Bush has control much longer. I am not alone, my co-workers are many, and we have all lost. I am in human services.
My stock account has gone from 200 when Clinton took office, 44000 when Clinton left office. My stock is now worth about 12000. I cashed out not long ago before any more disappeared, in an attempt to avoid bankruptcy. Please give me a president who understands that the poor will rise up against an unfair system when it becomes too much of a burden. I fear for our inner cities, I fear for our children who have been slashed form the programs that Bush has removed. Clinton was able to help these people, why can't Bush? Answer, he doesn't care, he is lost, he is taking bad advice...

I am British. I did not support the 'reasons' for our engagement/involvement. It's been proven that those reasons were 'false' (or were they?) ....... but it's not 'that simple'. UN 'investigators' (re WMD) were continually 'thwarted' by Saddam. There were numerous UN resolutions on which no-one had the courage to 'act'. It was only after 9/11 - (revenge?) - that action was taken and instigated by USA. Were we 'wrong'? Don't know. I do think 'timing' was badly wrong. Perhaps reasons too. But the fact is the lives of innocent civilians is being improved - democracy(?) seems to be a realistic proposition. This benefits the people. No. Our troops should not come home now. It would be an utter waste of lost lives, military and civilian, if they did. The ultimate, humanitarian 'purpose' would never be fulfilled. Whether we should be there or not - and why - is a 'political' issue. Let's not undermine our troops - very brave and courageous men and women who do their job regardless of personal views.

Gas prices will never go back to "normal" we are running out of gas. There is a finite amount of it in the world and the arabs have been lying about how much more there is.
Troops will come home from Iraq when the publics outrage against the Bush admins evil and illegal war reaches the point that it counters the propaganda machine of all the media that are owned and operated by republicans.
The republican war machine needs and likes war; and believes in conquering the world as part of usa self protection. The military
industrial complex is an out of control monster.
Until people face that they have been lied to and manipulated, the
Republicans will be able to lie and propaganda away. We have to face the lies and propaganda and the evil that is republicanism;
then the troops come home.

If you compare the cost of gas with the cost of cars, these "high prices" are about in the same ratio. Tomorrow these prices will be looked back on as the prices when they were low.
One has to remember the planet has a finite amount of oil. Today there are more people going to the well wirh supply falling. The replacement for fossil fuels will never be able to directly compete with the energy that made it.
Yes I know the environmentalist for years has been touting Renewable Energy as being economically viable. Their equation adds in the cost of all the damage fossil fuels creates, the direct cost of fuel, and zeros out all capital costs of the replacement infrastructure.
To get a small idea of the cost of the infrastructure, imagin you had to replace all of the present infrastructure. Granted the electrical power grid can be reused. The power generating fasilities will have to be retooled. The solar, wind, and biomass fasilities have to be created. Don't forget the price of land that most be bought for the collectors.
It has been said that to power the US at its present consumption rate 5% of continental US would have to be devoted to energy colection/production. If solar was used they didn't specify the conversion rate for the cells used or the installation location.
The environmentalist never talk about the energy required to produce solar cells, nor the fact that it is the cost of energy to produce the cells that governs its cost. To fully appreciate the economics of the solar industry one has to simple realize how small it is. Latest data said the production worldwide was only 500 million dollars a year. Most of their "raw materials" are from the electronic industry that has done most of the purifing of the silicon already.
My solution to this conundrum is to acknowledge that the investor in renewable energy will loose his investment unless 1 of 2 things happens: 1) Energy prices skyrocket after installation. 2) They utility creates sellable spin-off benefits to subsidize the cost of the infrastructure. How & where this sellable spin-off benifit is created I'll leave to another time.
By the way even if we went into Iraq for the only we'd have to share it with our customers, since our products require energy to be used.

Gasoline prices are all ready normal.
Its just that you can't reconcile the past with the present.
Yes, most of our troops will come home.
As to when, that is an unknown.
Weather they come home alive or dead or maimed or suffering from depression, should be the question. And, yes many will fit into each category.

I hope our troops come home really soon...but as for the gasoline prices...I struggle with poverty myself and know high gas prices are a burden, but if they remain high, perhaps they'll become a blessing, as they will force our culture to place a higher value on finding reasonable alternative fuels/means of transportation.

Gas prices will never go down.
Troops will never come back, its too damn hard to keep the rebels down from US. And even if they do America will probably wage a war against some other defenseless country giving false evidence of "hidden" weapons of mass destruction. Prolly some country with oil reserves prefferably, since US wants to control the oil reserves of this world.

The troops will return, soon as Bush is convinced that Iraq, can protect itself with out the trooops. Gas will gradually go down, but it might take 6 to 24 months.
