What could I not like about Nirvana? You've got Kurt Cobain with this haunting strung out voice, and the distorted guitars, and then you've got Dave Groll on drums producing this beat that you can not help but head bang to. There is something so original and authentic that even if it's not your thing you have to appreciate it. When I was younger I did not get it as much, I thought they were OK, but their music videos creeped me out. Now that I've grown a better understanding of music and am making music of my own, I adore Nirvana. I just wish I would have appreciated them more when Kurt was still alive, but I was 12 and again, I was very haunted by the "heart Shaped Box" video (now it's one of my favorites)

Everything. There is nothing I don't like about Nirvana except the death of Kurt Cobain.

They were the only people at that time to have a sound like that
No one else had what they had back then, they started grunge

I like that some of the things in their lyrics relates to me so it seems as if they understand how such life is that other people sometimes can't understand.
