Phuket, Thailand. Stay at the J.W. Marriott, which is on the northern part of the island where there's a large sea turtle reserve. Quiet beach, beautiful pools, great rooms.

Do some volunteer work! Ask to help at a local food bank or, better still, call your local senior home and ask if you can go visit some of the residents. When you get there, ask them to tell you their life story, and then LISTEN! Be polite, speak clearly and give them plenty of time to answer your questions.

It all depends, how old are you, where are you and how much money can you spend. I live in the Tampa bay area and there are always free festivals and things to attend. Check your local paper and they should have things like that listed on Thursday.
