i don't know what kind it is or anything but i could take a pic if it matters but is this a good idea and what do i use for bedding and food. and does it need special lighting or humidity control. thanks

a toad is a slight relative of the frog family, it does not need any special lighting except that u need to have fresh and alive food for it as you know toad doesnot eat dead stuff. If u hav any question just email me at obiwong1234@yahoo.com. Ill help you because I have a " zoo' at home

I'd find your local pet store and ask some questions, but I wouldn't think a toad would be an ideal pet for a little girl...not to mention, the toad probably wants to be free.
Why not a furry little kitten? IF your daughter isn't too young, that is. Meow. :)

allow her save it! that is a good journey as a baby. I used to capture all of them the time! common approaches to shelter the toad is to get a bucket, positioned sod on one facet, then fill the different with water. The water will be dirty and muddy - the way toads like it. That seems after land, water, and beverage. Now we make sure food. food is instantly ahead. you are able to feed them worms, flies, fireflys, ghats, any tiny insect actual. I used to favor worms because they were common to locate, and also you need to purchase them at any wal-mart. i'm hoping I helped! have relaxing you 2!

Definitly get a fish tank and have an area for water
They sell food for them at the pet store
And, don't do what I did with my pet toad as a kid, which is take it sunbathing....you can imagine the results of that

Not a good idea.
Tell her that it might have little baby toads that need it to come home.
Keeping a natural toad out of its element spells certain death.

keep it
buy a fish tank put a bedding and keep it in there
get flies 4 it to eat.
or if they have it...toad food.
it dosent need special lighting or bedding
just get small pieces of gravel and put that on the bottom

Put it in an aquarium-any old aquarium will do-with wood chips, a water bowl and most toads/frogs eat insects. Make sure your daughter washes her hands each time after she handles it, though.

it is ok to keep it because toads are not like frogs, toads do not spread or give warts at all so it would be a perfect pet

do not keep it is a wild animal and it is used to be free and it will die and break ur childs heart so get a toad or water frog from a pet store and they will tell u what to do to help it stay healthy.....good luck!!!!!!!!

They are pretty hardy, you'll need to catch it fly's and put insects in the tank. Look up terrarium for all the details.
