Dell Inspiron 1150, Apparently I just spoke with a Dell woman on the phone and that is what she diagnosed it with.

As stated above, The out of warranty department is closed until Monday so I cannot ask them.

Dell techs are stupid and when ever they cant come up with anything else they automatically say the motherboard is out. I would reccommend going to a computer place and having them check it out. I called on mine one day and she went though like 3 things, and decided it had to be the motherboard...when actually it was just the battery.

If you have a Dell, then it came with a service tag, also most Dells have the model name around the power button. Go to dell support and type your service tag #, it should give you the model of your pc and from there find out what kind of motherboard that PC uses and see what the prize range is.

You're better of buying a new laptop than replacing your mother board. Because for a laptop it is much expensive than a desktop.

It might cost you $750 and that would include installation.

You might be better off buying a new laptop.
