My husband was working out of town and a cyst on my ovarie burst,I called my friend to take me to the hospital and she sat in the family waiting room until I came out of the operating room and told the hospital that I needed to stay there because they wanted to send me home,when I was in a lot of pain.She sat with me and stood in as my family when there was no one else.That meant alot,then when I had another friend that had an emergency and no family around I knew that she needed me to be there for her too.Good friends teach you how to be good friends.

Paid my rent for me when I got in a bind after we had been divorced for quite awhile. And came and helped me clean out my refrigerator when it suddenly died and all the food spoiled. Same person, my ex. He is a fantastic human being.

I had a friend of mine "wire" me some money just so I can give my Daughter a Bday party....her bday fell in between pay days....& I was kind of depressed about it.....so he calls me the night before her bday & says go to the money gram place...so I did....he wired me 100.00 for her party & present...so I didnt have to cancel all plans....I was shocked....we r not in a relationship....nor is it his kid....but he did this...& when I called him to thank him...he told me not to worry about it...I told him I will pay him back...he said...no...dont..my present to her....I will send him money anyway....BUT...OMG!...I was blown away....happy & sad too....BUT...at least my baby got her party & she was happy....Thanks to my friend....
