Normal operating temp should be between 200 and 220 with max temp at 240. Pressure caps are to raise the boiling point... a 15 pound cap will raise it to 240. If the engine runs colder than 185 to 200 all the time it will not develop full power either.

Normal operating temp is between 180 and 195 degrees. I would ues the clutch fan because it is a 4x4. Look at it this way, say you take your 4x4 across a small stream, the water gets up high enough on the motor to get into the fan blade. OK so the water is hitting the fan blade, so what you might think. Look at it this way water will stop a flex fan blade and possibley break the blades or mess up the water pump. On the clutch fan if it gets in the water the water pump will still be able to turn if the water stops the fan blade at least the water pump isstill circulating the coolant to keep the engine cool.

Clutch fan. You have all the power in to world, so it won't drag the engine down at all.
