the burn speed on original dvd is 8x why cant i burn a 8x but i really dont know how 2 explain please help

chec it when i burn a dvd- to a dvd- in nero i simulate then determine maximum speed pree copy it makes a virtual copy then measures the speed then burns the finished product doesnt play in my hand held dvd but works in the houshod player

Have you checked the format of the movie u burn, most players doesn't play avi-format or other formats that are supported on computers...they usually play mpeg1 or mpeg2...try to check that before burning.
I didn't get the last part of ur question, if the dvd speed 8x..and u can't burn 8x,maybe ur burner doesn't support the speed!

okey it iswritten on blank recordable cd the maximum writing speed, u can not write above that speed, secondly for dvd to dvd .. if ur original movie disk can play your dvd player ur copied dvd will definaltely also play , u should use disk to disk feature in nero burning ,

a little more details please........ are you recoding the movie? are you talking making back ups of movies you own or burning something you downloaded or home videos. when you burn a movie for playing on a dvd the format has to be compatible. here is a site that is chock full of forums on the subject. many free tools are available to assist you. and this sight provides links to many of them. good luck.

your computer can only burn as fast as its memory will allow. If your burnt DVD won't play on external players it most likely is not finialized.

ur dvd has to be a mp3 player to play a burnt disk

you need to be using dvd r - w not r+w or recordable
