im a bears fan but . . .
over rated - rex grossman
here is a guy that has played 3 season and got injured all 3 seasons. He has never had a performance that an avg. qb couldnt have easily put up. and chicago is always a run first pass second kinda city.
under rated - Brad Johhnson
Brad Johnson is always been a threat and and puts up above avg. numbers in the worse years of his career.
Biggest surprise is Bears NFC Champions
Alot of NFC teams got better but Bears are still able to beat any offense and no nfc team is that outstanding of a defense except chicago. I will not be surprised if they are more dominating this year than last year. maybe even 15-1 record.

The most underrated player in history is Art Monk. He was a great receiver that at one time or another in his career held the record for receptions in a season, receptions in a career and consecutive games with a reception. He was an important part of three Super Bowl teams with the Redskins. Many people agree he is good, but he's getting little or no attention for the Hall of Fame. For that reason, and until he's in the Hall, he is the most underrated player.
Most overrated is Emmitt Smith. Everybody talks about him as one of the best ever, but without those huge lineman blocking for him, he would have been just mediocre. I don't even think he belongs in the top 20. Is he better than Walter Payton, Jim Brown, O.J. Simpson, Barry Sanders or Marshall Faulk? I don't think so, and that's just five. Yes, he holds the records for rushing yards and TDs, but without that line, he would have been nowhere. Some of Sanders' offensive lines were total crap and it's the same for Payton. There's a reason he was called Sweetness.
Currently, most underrated is Lemar Marshall, MLB, Redksins.
Most overrated is Eli Manning, QB, Giants. You can also say Michael Vick and Shaun Alexander.

Underrated:
Quaterback: Jake De-loan or however you spell it look what he did in the playoffs.
Running Back: Tiki Barber he was way better than Shaun Alexdaner last year.
Wide Receiver: Hines Ward he was Superbowl MVP.
Cornerback; Ken Lucas and Chris Camble look what they did last year.
Overrated:
1.Quaterback-Dalunte Coldpepper or how ever you spell it look at last year he could not do anything without Randy Moss. Also they were way better when he got injured.
2.Running Back-Brain Westbrook I mean come on he is a undersize wide receiver. He better at receiving than runnning the ball.
Wide Receiver-Darrell Jackson he is not even all that good. Look at his stats and you will see that they suck because he sucks.
Cornerback-Nathan Visher Wow he got 8 intercetions last year wow. Than why couldn't the Bears stop Steve Smith who went for 200 or more yards in that playoff game. He shouldn't even have made it to the Pro Bowl.

Vick is over rated...don't get me wrong he COULD be a great QB, but he hasn't been producing and he still gets props...he should get this recognition once he starts living up to his potential. The RB from Oakland LaMont Jordan is under rated, when he gets 20+ carries, the Raiders win more. He catches out of the backfield and he is good with the ball in his hands, yet he doesn't get credit. The whole Raiders team is under rated just because they are hated through out the NFL, their team has great potential and will live up to it this year.

1) Lorenzo Neal of the Chargers is underrated. L.T. would not be nearly as good as he is without Neal.
2) Tom Brady is the most overrated. He is a average QB with great coaches and coordinators. Look what happened when Weis left.
