we are separated and my husband is refusing to move on, I am sure he will be the same after the divorce

In general, I'd say men recover more slowly from emotional trauma than women. You know how they say the quickest/best way to get over somone is with someone else? Men might take that route and THEN be able to get over a divorce sooner. But if they stay single afterward, it'll be hard on them.
I find it similar to research/popular thought that says widowed men often die very shortly after their wives. But widowed women tend to go on better and cope.
Loss of any type seems to hit men harder. I'm not sure why though.

I would say most do though there are some exceptions. Men are not as emotionally involved in the marriage usually. I think the only time men don't get over it as quickly is when they weren't the one requesting the divorce.

I know for a fact that my ex husband still hasn't recovered from our divorce and my leaving last year. I am totally over it, tho. Of course, I am engaged to someone who is the total opposite of my ex and who really knows how to treat a woman. My ex can't stand that!
I think it depends on the person, their personality, how angry they are, and many other thing.

Yes, if they tend to be the cause of it. If not, there are several factors to figure out as to if they can get over divorce easier. Everybody's emotions are as different as people, so, there's no way to give a definite answer.

I don't think being the man or woman matters as much as who was the one who filed for divorce. I was relieved when I finally got rid of my cheating husband. I could go on and live my life again. Yes I filed!!!

yes they do they just begin poking around not like us women we always Waite to find that someone. again! guy's don't care they just get please again and off with there egos they go.

yeah because they think with their Jimmy and sex makes them forget all about the ex
