You'll probably have to re-learn some things, but you should pick up on it fast.

I have to tell you that if your bofy has changed much in the 4 years then that will be a factor. I skated a lot in HS; and was pretty good for a girl-I quit after I screwed my knee up at 17. Well when my son was around 8 or 9 (me being around 28-29) he was outside trying to do an ollie so I decided to give a demo. Needless to say the 50lbs I had gained since HS really messed with my balance and when you hit the ground it is not as easy to get up.
Hope that give you an idea... let me know how it turns out!

I haven't skated in about 7 years, when I was around 12 I could do a lot of flip tricks, but now at age 19, I can only do an ollie. I lost my talent, so you might have to learn the basics again, but I'm sure you'll pick up your skill much, much faster.

I bought a new skateboard only a few days ago because the surf was flat. I hadnt ridden a skateboard in almost 8 years, but I jumped on it and took it to the skatepark. It took me about 2 minutes to get the hang of it again and im 25.

Sure, I'm 26 and I have taken a few periods off. I didn't skate for 3 years. I stepped on my board and after a few hours I was doing kickflips again. It takes a little while to get precission balance back, but I encourage you to give it a try.

I'm sure its like riding a bicycle.... But to be sure get on the ice! You'll know then instantaneously if you got what it takes. Then you can either A.) Get lessons or B.) Skip lessons and skate.

skating is cyclic movement it is just like swimming , rowing , cycling ...etc, it means these sport movements if you learned at early age , you can recall later even if you stopped practice them for several years .
