Any woman who has an affair with a married man has a very low sense of self worth. For her, by having an affair (or one niter) with a married man she is trying to gain a feeling of worthiness. She tries to build security and a sense of worth within herself by believing that the married man has chosen her over his own wife. She fails to realize that she is actually degrading her own self-image by displaying herself to others as a selfish and moral less human being.

The same reason why married men like to have one night stands with single women. The reason is just because the can and feel that they can get away with it.
