A dull, three-chord band. Why should they be afraid to speak their minds? Their opinions line up with their audience's opinions, so what's there to be afraid of? BELIEVE ME, they care what people think of them. The minute their CD sales start slipping because of their opinions, their opinions will change, or at least be muted somewhat.

They freaking ROCK! I grew up with Green Day (my dad had their Dookie album) but i never gave it much thought. I love them now because I was never into music until one day on the radio "American Idiot" from there I looked up almost all of their songs. I love them because they also got me to LOVE rock...I love almost all the modern rock bands out there because of them....they will always be my favorite. On "On Demand" under guitar lessons for "When I come Around" the guy the introduces it says, "All the bands today like Blink 182, Good Charlette, and my Chemical Romance have done all that they can do to sound like Green Day...." I totally agree everyone my age and little older grew up with Green Day and I just love them to death.

I don't totally hate them, I think that they are kinda poser-ish, like "hey look at me I'm soooo rebellious cause I wear a tie on stage I'm soooo puck rock!!!" Their playing is a little below average and as for their lyrics, I think that their OK. I still think of them like rebel light. They kinda wanna fight the establishment, but... not. Personally I think they are kind of a cute little band that like to play bad a*s. Kinda cute I think.

Die-complicated eco-friendly Day fan here, i like the previous and new. as much as I do choose the older eco-friendly Day I nevertheless ADORE the greater recent eco-friendly Day. yet besides, eco-friendly Day is unquestionably no longer option OR pop punk. option and pa punk are Fall Out Boy, Paramore, All Time Low, etc. yet you won't be able to truly positioned them on the harder component of rock like 3 Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Skillet, etc. the two. i in my opinion decide for to think of of eco-friendly Day as a punk rock band that grew into mature adult adult males. that's what i like approximately eco-friendly Day, they nevertheless stand happy with the norm. (:

By the way you are describing them, i thought you were talking about the "Dixie Chicks". I personally do not like Green Day, b/c i hate that genre of music. I like heavy metal. Just personal taste.

They are OK for a third generation punk band, but they didn't really contribute anything new. It's hard to get that enthusiastic about them if they aren't your entry point into punk.
