I don't think you'll find a free VB compiler, as only Microsoft provides VB compilers. You can run VB script through things like IE and Office macros and even Windows Scripting Host, but none of those can produce executables.

Try C#develop. It's a free open-source replacement for visual studio. You can write VisualBasic.NET and C# programs for free. It is an excellent program with at least one large book written about it. See the link below:

I purely use Microsoft place of work's seen undemanding for purposes in maximum situations, its put in with place of work so which you dont would desire to pay something (apart from paying for place of work in case you dont have it). it rather is not plenty a compiler, on the muse which you cant collect it as an executable. yet you could create very stepped forward databases in excel as an occasion, with all the function of Microsoft Visiual undemanding.

I don't think "standard exe" is an option anymore. I downloaded from microsoft "Visual Basic Express 2005" which is free for a year.
