It takes time to mend a broken heart and with you wanting to go out and find someone else when you are ready.

Nothing mends a broken heart faster than a new booty.

With threads of time
Ur heart will mend
Though now it feels
Like it's the end
Stitch understanding
and love and thought
To find the answers
U have sought
And as u grow
So will ur soul
Each day is new
Love's never old
So take the needle
And hang in there
With time u'll escape
From ur despair
Though now it feels
Like it's the end
With threads of time
Ur heart will mend

Mostly it takes time. Don't go over and over the past--look for new activities or hobbies to boost your confidence and keep your mind off of it. Eventually you'll hurt less. It helps to have a new relationship, but usually there is a time of transition before you can truly love and be loved again. Good luck!

Don't think about love right now.
Put your mind into other things in life. Watch movies, sports, and do other activities.
As time goes, you'll feel less sensitive about it.

Time and whatever you do, don't listen to any love songs. They will only make you think about your ex.
