The seller had false details and scammed a couple of buyers at least that i know of. Obviously since he was a scammer he did not have buyer protection. So will paypal be able to give me my money back?

Yes, you just need to contact either paypal or your credit card company or whatever you paid with. you need to tell them that you were scammed and that the merchandise was not as described and they will credit you until they finish investigation. If they do finish investigating and youre not at fault, the credit is permanent and the seller will get a negative balance on their paypal account.

Chargeback seems plausible and the best. PayPal will charge you $25 for help you to retrieve money from seller's PayPal account (even there is no money in seller's PayPal account). What a rule and what a service!

Yes, the seller obviously has a paypal account if he collected money through it- so contact paypal and file a complaint. They will investigate, and if he can't prove it was shipped and delivered to you you will get your money back.

Never worked for me, I had to find the dudes number myself and I called him out of the blue and told him I was going to come over and kick his *** if I didnt get my money back in 3 days or less. He mailed me cash.

I bet he has never figured out how I got his name and number. What a riot. Losers.

sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. Contact your local police department, or if you're lucky enough to pay paypal via a credit card, call the issuer!

Good Luck
