I bought a Volkswaggon beatle 1976 no coil bought a new coil but not sure where the 3 wires go to from negitiv

the coils as two terminals and three wires I dont know where the wres go on yhe coil i know there is one to the distribitor and one to the regulator anybody know the answer help please

first negitive coil wirs goes to the condencer than to points only wire in fact if you get a condencer the wire has 2 conectors on it 1 male 1 female male to points female to coil negitive thats iot unless someone added a tac it will go here alsu the other 2 wires come off the positive and go to the carb 1 to the choke 1 to the idle soloinoid as far as the wire to the regulator i am assuming this is the positive ignition on wire and goes to the positive coil terminal good luck

You should have a condenser, if you have a point style distributor. If you have no points, I don't know, your best bet would be to consult a wiring diagram for the car...

If memory serves me right reg. wire to pos(+) therminal
of coil , to neg.(-) therminal of coil 1 wire from dist. second
wire from externial condensor . I don't recall one under the dist. cap by the points. and coil secondary (coil wire) to center
tower of dist. cap.
