You are not a virgin when you have sexual intercourse, and according to this if you are a woman and you break your membrane during intercourse you are not longer a virgin. But you can tear this membrane during exercise...

I have a friend who doesnt masterbate because he believes he'd then lose his virginity. I think thats kinda stupid.

Medically not virgin----usually a female has hymen blocking the vaginal entry its like thin tissue layer(fasica) and when that is broken she is not virgin.
