A lot of the time when I search the web, I find only what "they" want me to know. "They" can be different people.
Do a google on say "Numark TTX review", a DJ turntable that I would use in my job. Hard to find a really in depth one that's not from a store or a website/magazine that has been loaned one from the manufacturer and wants adverts.
Do a google on other topics....lotsa religion...do a google on music...lotsa record company payola.
It can be hard to find the right stuff if the question isn't something like "how many inches to a centimeter"
If this takes off right, then eventually we may get less commercial knowledge from "real" people..the techs who service machines, the professionals who have to use things every day...the patient who has the same ailment you have and also had a lousy doctor chasing a drug company holiday in India instead of taking care of business.
That's why I want this to succeed and that's why I try to help out.

Yes, I am one of the people who actually enjoys trying to help people find what they need, or want. I think asking questions is a great way to learn and expand the mind, as well as answering.
Some people are not very familiar with search engines and the Internet. They may not be able to find the right key words to use if their first search failed, and so they ask for help. There is no shame in asking for help.

Sometimes people need help or advice that can't be googled. Life experiance is the best way to learn and be able to give advice. Not everyone has a person to talk to or a support system or are just too embaressed to ask those close to them, here no one knows you and no one will judge. If someone has a problem and someone can help then why not.

Sometimes I have gotten answers here that I couldn't find on the web after days of searching.
Examples, some exact asp programming questions and some answers on movie copywright laws.
Try it - try finding on the web what exact royalties you have to pay if you sell movies... you can't. You only find music info.
Anyways, I hope ppl continue to try to answer stuff cuz this has been incredibly helpful for me.
I also enjoy venting in the guise of questions and answers.. hehe

Some questions are TRULY valid. People ask because they genuinely want to know. Of course there are those that abuse the system...
I like to answer from the heart and sometimes google the answer.
I pick and choose which questions I want to spend my time on...same as you.

Some people are better at researching than others - and need a resource of talented researchers to do the work for them.
Others are just here for valued options on matters of perspective.

Well, it's kinda fun....maybe we just feel like we are doing something nice for others or something. I mean, in some ways it's like answering trivia questions. I mean, I'm enjoying this more than those yahoo games. LOL
