actually, the blood you see during your period, very little of it is actually blood. most of it is fluids from your uterus along with the lining it is shedding. you don't have to worry about an artery leaking or something, its eough to make it look bad, but its very normal. however, if you have extremely heavy periods that last more than 3 days at a time, you can become anemic. the red you see in your period is the same blood throughout the rest of your body, but mixed with many other substances. hope this helps.

It is partially blood, but the majority of it is menstrual waste. When your body wants to get rid of dead cells and eggs, it does so through the menstrual cycle. It is a process that is very hard on your body, hence the blood that's mixed in it. It is mainly waste, much like your feces, but from different organs of the body.

it is not the same. the blood that comes from down there as you put it is the inner lining of the womb breaking down for your monthly period. the blood from a cut any where else on your body comes from your veins.

Blood is blood, but the blood that comes out during your period is mixed with the contents of the uterus.

No. The blood from cut is different.
When women get their periods we are shedding a mixture of discarded cells from the uterine lining, mucus, bacteria and blood.

Babe, blood is blood :) That's not like a wound that has to heal, its just your body expelling what it would have used to support the fetus' and its placenta.
