He'll be okay. But he is lucky to be alive.

According to the last report I read in the paper, he is only going to be missing training camp and practice, possibly the first game of pre-season. Also, all his injuries were to the head and face area. Broken jaw, broken nose, lost a few teeth, and a cut on the back of his head. His knees are fine and he was released from the hospital and is said to be getting around fine. As a fellow STEELERS fanatic I kept close tabs on what was going on. So I am not exactly worried, he will be back and Big Ben and Hines Ward and Veron Haynes will rock the game and take us to the Superbowl again.

and as for all you sore losers The Superbowl is over so shut up about the refs already.

I am not a Steelers fan but I'm a huge football fan. I've always liked Ben. And while I was sad that he was seriously injured only because I like the guy I was so happy to hear it wasn't worse. The angels were looking out for that guy. I'm not worried about when he'll come back. Im just glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

The last I read, and granted it was in this morning's USA Today, the extent of his injuries aren't that severe: a broken nose and jaw, a concussion. Based on this I would say he'd be good-to-go come the NFL season. He should count himself lucky. When Jay Williams, then of the Chicago Bulls, crashed his motorcycle he spent years rehabbing himself. Ben is alive, and that's the most important thing.

I dont think he can play any worse....as long as he has the same refs as the Super Bowl he will never lose.....He could die on the field and still score a TD with them.

His knees are just fine. He will only miss a few weeks of training camp. He is already home. They didn't even wire his jaw shut.
