I love Marzipans, and there are far more Marzipans of Lyons. The Lyons Marzipans are bigger and more delicious. The Kipling is stingy when it comes to quality. It is a hands down on Lyons Battenburg...far better quality. What are you all on about regarding this issue. Lyons simply has a better quality and if you're a tea drinker it's Lyons and if you're a coffee drinker, then it's the lesser of the two..of course you could go even lower and take a more coarse and less fresh, quite a common thing to do. Now I love my coffee and I still prefer Lyons. They are an older company. Kipling is actually Scottish, Lyons hailing from appx. 1888 and went to England. Now, I stand my ground on this.

Mr Kipling usually wins any cake stand off pretty easily but Lyons do make a killer Battenburg. Hmmmm...good question...em......i feel that to make an informed decision i cannot go on memory alone and would need both infront of me to taste, which doesnt really help does it?....Right ill go for Mr Kipling if you are going to rush me for an answer, but i like Lyons too...What a good question....I am now away to the 24 hour Tesco to get Battenburged off my ****.

Lyons. I like most Lyons cakes anyway and I have never found live ants in Lyons.
