my soninlaw doesn't want her to stay with us.

Yes, you have visitation rights. She does not have to stay with you but you should be allowed to spend time with her. Because she is very much a part of you after all a lot of your daughter is in her. Now you can try by talking to him about letting you spend time or you can try getting a lawyer to see what your rights are exactly.

I am not sure where you live by I am in CA and here there are grandparents rights and the way it works here is that you go to court and get a court order that states you get the kids for one full weekend a month. Check with you local court Family Law division I hope this helps.

Yes you do! A law has been recently passed that gives grandparents visitation rights. You should contact a lawyer and get it in writing.

If he is a fit and loving parent then he should have full custody
BUT you as the grandparent do by law have rights to visitation. I hope you all can resolve this peacefully without adding more trauma to the child. You are in my prayers.

yes , as a grandparent you have rights. the son-in-law cant take those away. contact an attorney. fight for your rights. good luck and im sorry about your daughter.
