Running a lot combined with cutting your calories will make you lose weight, however it depends on the shape you're in. If you are close to your correct weight but flabby, the fat will shrink (fat never goes away--the cells just become smaller) and your muscle mass will increase. Muscle weighs more than fat so theoretically you could gain weight. Smooth muscle is prettier and healthier than lumpy fat and the gain would be well worth it.

I know this because I have a head full of information and trivia from reading a lot and paying attention to the world around me.

I ran track in high school, plus you see people run around town and they are not gain weight, so no but your fat turns to muscle and that might make a small insignificant change.

No, running requires energy, and this would mean that you are burning it, not storing it. Weight resistance exercise builds muscles bigger, endurance exercise (running) just burns calories, but doesnt build muscle.

It doesn't matter how much you weigh! It just matters how much fat and muscle you have. If you weigh a lot and have a lot of muscle, people will be like wow she is muscular! They will not think you are fat if that is what you are worrying about!
