Most email programs will allow you to attach the music file to the email message. Exact directions will depend on what email program you're using, but most should say "attach file".
If you're using the latest Yahoo! Messenger and you're both online, you can also drag and drop the file into your cat session window to send it that way.

You find the file on your hard drive, probably don't send it via the player. If you know the name of the song or file you can use the search function to locate it (Windows key +F).
Another way (esp. for larger files like music and photos) if you use an instant messaging tool (Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, Skype, etc.) is to do a pc-to-pc file transfer. I have tested a number of them and found Skype to be the best for file transfer (and voice), but also Yahoo IM seems to work pretty well.
Some ISPs do block that feature though, only way to know is just to try it. The good news is that if it works you can exchange any type of files with your friends. Just be sure to virus scan files before sending and ask your friends to do same. Scan any file you receive before you open it, regardless of whether they say they scanned it or not.
Good luck!

Send it as an attachment. Just go to "insert", it should bring up a "browse menu", then find the file you want to send and click on it.
Hope that helps.
